The Regional Department of Education of Castilla-León offers a unique opportunity to improve your Spanish language skills and interact with native Spanish speakers in an authentic setting. An ideal course for anyone with a background in education and in interest in Spanish, this weeklong language program takes place July 17-23 in a beautiful renaissance palace in the countryside of Castile and Leon.
The first half of the day is spent studying in a small group of other international guests perfecting their Spanish. Units include: VOCABULARY, GRAMMAR, WRITING, TRANSLATIONS, ORAL PRACTICE, PRONUNCIATION, FLUENCY and SPANISH CULTURE AND HISTORY. There are three sessions per morning from 9:00 to 13:45 with two short breaks.
During your period of study, a group of 20 Spanish adults (all of whom are English teachers) will be studying English. After class, both groups join together for lunch and the second half of the day begins at 16:30. The afternoon is comprised of various workshops and cultural activities. The activities range from wine tasting to salsa dancing to hiking—something for everyone. The activities will be led in English and offers you the opportunity to share your language and culture while learning about another.
The course takes place in the Palacio de Avellaneda, a stunning palace built in 1530 in the small town of Peñaranda de Duero. The palace itself has been superbly maintained and while still offering its medieval charm, it is fully equipped with modern amenities like WiFi Internet and comfortable double accommodation. It is situated in the heart of Castile and Leon and offers an inspiring and distinct setting for learning, as well as relaxing. You will spend two afternoons exploring nearby areas. All meals, accommodation, and activities are organized for you and included in the price of the course of 490€.
